Birds of Prey Drawing Session (pay-what-you-can)
Join us for this special drawing session, live-streamed from Icarus Falconry Birds of Prey Centre.
As part of Birds month in The Creative Flock, I’ve organised a drawing session for all subscribers with Icarus Falconry Birds of Prey Centre in Northamptonshire.
The session takes place on Thursday 18th July at 5.30pm - 7pm BST, where we’ll join expert handler Emily and 3-4 stunning birds during this special live-streamed event from Icarus.
Recording of the session will be available to all subscribers until 30th July, after that it can be accessed in the paid member library.
The session will involve 15-20 minutes of drawing per bird, whilst hearing fascinating facts about them from Emily.
One of the birds which will feature will be a young peregrine falcon, a new addition to the centre.
Emily will also introduce other birds to us, they are fortunate to care for many different owls, hawks and falcons, all with very distinct personalities, so we’re in for a treat!
To make this accessible, this is a pay-what-you-can drawing session with a suggested minimum donation of £5, no maximum amount if you’re feeling generous 😉
50% of the proceeds will be split between Project Lugger, a conservation charity which Icarus fundraise for and Horstmann Trust - a UK vulture conservation charity. The remaining proceeds will go to Icarus and Emily for providing their time and expertise.
Paid members of The Creative Flock will get access to this session for free, although you are welcome to contribute if you would like to.
Icarus Falconry is based at Holdenby House Gardens which is a stone's throw from where I live. I’ve visited many times over the years, most memorably when I had a falconry experience for my 40th birthday.

hello, I will probably sign up, it's tempting ! just hesitate because I will be on the dentist seat 3h earlier.. I hope I will be able to participate ;) ! if not, will you record the session to have a replay ?
