Join us for Sketching Your Small Moments, a live drawing session co-hosted with Tasha Cross from The Artist’s Toolbox, on Tuesday 21st October, 7pm BST/2pm ET.
We’ll be sketching from your submitted photos of special moments, whether it’s a favourite place, a quiet memory, a moment shared with a loved one, or a photo in nature that brought you peace. Upload your images to this folder, for a chance to be featured, and either watch us sketch live or draw along with us!
Note: By sharing your photo, you’re giving us permission to sketch it during the session and share it with the Creative Flock and The Artist’s Toolbox community, including in the replay. We’ll always credit the photos we use, and once we’ve made our selection, all submissions will be deleted from our storage. Thank you so much for sharing your special moments with us!
What to expect from the session:
We’ll select some photos to sketch live, and you can either watch along or pick up your pencils and join in.
This drawing session is unguided, which means we won’t be teaching drawing or art techniques, this is a space where we draw/paint/create whilst hanging out with other creative folks and chatting (this bit is optional, you don’t even need to have your camera on if you’d prefer).
What these sessions provide are golden opportunities to take time out to draw for yourself, in the company of others and through that process, learn and develop.
Timings:
The session will run for approximately 1 hour, then there’ll be time to share our sketches (only if you want to, there is no pressure to share) and aim to close the session by 8.15pm.
Images:
Upload your images to this google drive folder, in the highest resolution you can, and if you would like to be credited, add your name the the file name. For example, if your photo file is called IMG2271.jpeg, rename to IMG2271.JoSmith.jpeg
If you would like to share your work on Substack or Instagram:
We’ll set up a chat thread where you can share your sketches after the session. If you’re a Notes user, you’re also welcome to share them there, just tag me or Tasha, and we’ll re-stack them.
On Instagram, tag me @emmaillustrates and i’ll share to my stories.
A recording of the session will be provided after the event, to members of Creative Flock/Artist’s Toolbox, within 24/48 hours.
