REPLAY: Shadow Drawing workshop
Missed the session? Watch the replay and rediscover drawing as play, using shadows, light, and natural forms to spark new ways of seeing.
Hello!
If you’re new here, a very warm welcome to you. I’m Emma, an artist and illustrator, based in rural England and my work is influenced by wildlife, stories and those small but significant, moments of connection with nature.
The Creative Flock is a cosy space where I share my creative insights and offer encouragement, advice and inspiration as you explore your own creative path.
New offering for Flock Members: ‘Creative Seasons’ - a slower, more intentional way to explore our creativity in line with the energy and natural rhythm of the seasons. Every 3 months, starting from June, we’ll dive into a topic which is inspired by the season we’re in. In Summer 2025, our theme is Wild & Wandering, a creative season inspired by the outdoors:
Thankfully, no internet issues this time! 😅 I had such a lovely time drawing with shadows and chatting about my love for the garden, especially our new veg plots, and getting excited about the idea of community gardens.
A big thank you to Britta for joining me!
Before you dive into the replay, it’s worth referring back to this post, which has everything you need to prepare your materials in advance. I also talk through the box and light setup at the beginning of the session, so you’ll be all set to follow along.
