Also I thought I'd mention - in case you don't get to Highgate (its quite a trek) this place in Islington is also really worth checking out if you're in the area : https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/city-gardens/find-a-garden/bunhill-fields-burial-ground

It used to be near where I worked, and its a little quiet space, with some significant people buried there. You may find it interesting!

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't checked the logistics of getting to Highgate from central London, I tend to naively assume everything is a tube stop or two away from each other 😂

yup, Highgate is a bit of a trek! BUT it depends on where you are starting from. If your plan is to really see Highgate Cemetery then it might be better to plan your day with that local area, or Hampstead nearby. You may be over stretching yourself to include central London locations - you'll be more suburb based. Which could be great!

But if you do have Central London based stuff planned, then Bunhill could fit in a bit easier!

Thank you for sharing your 2023 posts about Folktale Week Emma!

(a little typo here: "The official dates for Folktale Week 2023 are 18-24th November" 2023 instead of 2024)
