yup, Highgate is a bit of a trek! BUT it depends on where you are starting from. If your plan is to really see Highgate Cemetery then it might be better to plan your day with that local area, or Hampstead nearby. You may be over stretching yourself to include central London locations - you'll be more suburb based. Which could be great!
But if you do have Central London based stuff planned, then Bunhill could fit in a bit easier!

It used to be near where I worked, and its a little quiet space, with some significant people buried there. You may find it interesting!
