My favourite soup is minestrone, because you can basically chuck everything in it. I use a recipe from a book by Ella Mills as a base but I think the Blue Zones website has a similar recipe on there
Thankyou Em for the lovely message. The spidersβ¦yes Iβve been finding loads, definately the downside to Autumn! I really do love the summer as my body just loves being so warm at all times of the day.
But I love the change in Autumn, the colours, the fact I can wear my tights and boots again. Most of all, I adore the light in Autumn, as if it always looks like the afternoon. Itβs the perfect light to draw in, as everything has a soft glow, all day long. Iβm really looking forward to getting back into the Flock.
Thanks so much for the shout out Emma! It's SO nice having time in the calendar for co-swatching and co-sketching - makes such a huge difference for me! Looking forward to sharing those hours with you. I'm also a convert to loving Autumn - its SO magic. Its those 'changing seasons', Spring and Autumn, that celebrate transition that I find so captivating and beautiful. The colours, the change of the smell in the air, the warm days with a cool breeze and YES to comfort foods being back!!! Honestly I think the older I get, the less I can tolerate Summer! Looking forward to celebrating Autumn vibes - I hope I can make the sessions (if i'm in London then I won't be able to - but I'll be absorbing the vibes!)
You're welcome Raj! I'm looking forward to your sessions at the end of the month!
I went for a long walk by myself yesterday, first time since before the summer hols, and I could already see those signs of transition in the colour changes and there were fewer sounds from birds and insects. It felt good to have the time to notice this, and it turned out it was something I needed, especially after a hectic summer when my mind and body were feeling frazzled. And not just from the Croatian heat! π
That postbox! And I canβt be happier for soup season to start (although I stubbornly also make soup all summer π ) :)
The postbox looks great, doesn't it! I don't know who creates them, but they change every 2-3 months to a new theme.
Haha! Please share your favourite soup recipe, I tend to make pumpkin or squash-based ones, but I could do with expanding my repertoire π

Ooh, I love Minestrone, I'll look those up and let you know how I get on. Thanks Pauline! β€οΈ
