I love finding out what everyone's favourite birds and trees are! Forget about 'What do you do for a living?' this is the question to ask when you first meet someone.
Beautiful colours! My favourite tree is an Oak tree. My maiden name is Ogden, which means Oak Valley in old English. I have an acorn keyring, an acorn necklace, amongst other acorn things 😊
My favourite bird is a Robin, whenever they visit the garden or on a dog walk I feel it's a lost loved one come to say hello ❤️
Favourite bird is so tricky because I have such a fondness for so many but at the moment the little Hebridean Wren is top of the list. I love the bark of a birch tree and the papery softness of it's new leaves in spring. Lovely giveaway!
Until today I didn’t have a favorite bird, I felt a bit ashamed, so I went online to look for one and I found that the long tailed tit is super pretty. That will be my favorite from now on!
I didn’t have a top 5 until a few years ago so don’t feel bad! ❤️ You’ve reminded me how adorable long tailed tits are and now I want to swap my favourite 😆
I love trees in general, but I think my favorite is the maple tree. When we moved we brought babies from the maple in our old front yard and planted them all over our property. They are now good shade trees and full of bird nests every spring. I have bird feeders hanging from some of the maples and we get all kinds of birds at our feeders. While other birds eat, Carolina wrens sass from the bushes and make nests in outrageous places . We have found wrens nests in our dryer shoot, hanging plants, our clothespin bag and various other containers.
My favourite bird is the Pelican, as it's beak can hold more than its belly can! At the moment Redwood trees are a favourite of mine, they take my breath away and I could sit among them for hours <3
It’s soooo difficult to pick a favorite bird! But I think I’ll go with the Cape Batis, they are so beautiful and the males are full of attitude considering they are so tiny! A second fave would be the pied kingfisher. And I could go on and on listing birds I love 😂
I don't really have favourites but as you want me to choose it would have to be any bird of prey, particularly hawks... As for the tree it has to be the oak as that's where little acorns grow. 🙂
I think my favourite bird has got to be the robin. And favourite tree - pine (can’t decide which type). Thanks for running this! Would be so lovely to try these!!
Thank you for all your entries so far! I love finding out I'm not alone in having a favourite bird and tree (oak + kestrel)

I have two favourite trees: the Chestnut, for the shape of it’s trunk (looks like elephant feet); and the Ginko Biloba, for the shape of it’s leaves.
Oh pine trees. It’s the smell and the feel of walking on needled ground beneath them.
Feels like you are walking on a mattress. love it too.

Birch + Sandhill Crane
Favourites are soooo hard… I guess I’d pick my mom’s weeping cherry tree and the yellow billed magpie (or any of the corvids really)

My favourite bird is a hummingbird as it reminds me of my daughter
